A simple, easy, and cheap ($20) to make foil mast extension. Allowed me to lengthen my carbon mast giving me more height clearance and tighter turning ability. Carbon masts are expensive and often only available in one or two fixed lengths. Custom carbon masts are also expensive and even more so if I were to guess wrong on the length. So my goal here is to get the extra length I need to do tighter turns, and figure out what length mast is the sweet spot for me. As in long enough to do the turns I want without being so long that it's hard to ride.
First video is the how to video showing and explaining how I made the mast extension, and the second video is a ride video and report (YouTube Ride Report). In the third video I made a taller extension and give a ride report. In the fourth video I tested the bigger wing and extension at one of my favorite foil spots, and tested the smaller wing and extension in some really challenging conditions:

I have been re-discovering well known beaches as foil spots and I am having a blast! Surf foiling is so fun, and even if I get bored a simple change to my foil changes everything and I am excited again! Fall swell has been sparse to non existent so far, and I am so glad I have a foil to help me make lemonade out of these lemon conditions.
I have also been seeing foil spots with wing foil eyes, imagining how to wing at a spot and having my mind blown by the possibilities that will be here with the next storm swell!
In this video I score a couple of really fun peaks that are great foil waves and very different in their shape and rideability. Length of Video – 1:47 (YouTube preview):

The first summer of winging, in a year of deep sorrow, brought me great joy. Uncertainty, chaos, fear, AND super super stoked! Riding the wind has been around forever, and yet this is the first year I really dedicated myself to learning how, or winging is so appealing the only choice for me, was YES! Seeing all my friends either join me in wing foiling or show a palpable curiosity in this new winging adventure, is proof for me that this is special. Who says "no thanks" to endless waves?

After 6 months of Wing Foiling I can noticeably feel and see an improvement in my surf foiling. Ballpark this spring and summer of 100 wing sessions averaging 10 miles each is at least 1000 miles of foiling! Best guess is that the previous 3 years of surf foiling I had around 500 miles on the foil. The old saying, "Time on the water...", well time on the foil is huge for skills and mastery.
This video is of one of the best surf foiling days I have had yet. I had 3 peaks all to myself, 300-500 yards rides, s-turns all the way to the beach!

This series has many videos showing how to handle the wing for foil winging. Starting with the basics, on land and then in the water, of picking up the wing and turning it right side up and finishing at the point of ready to get up on the foil. I show and explain various ways of holding the wing, flipping the wing over, and moving forward and turning around without catching the wingtips. I show a few knee starts of getting up on the foil, focusing mainly on the wing handling (I will make a more in depth series on knee starts and getting up on the foil).

These videos show how I carve my own foot hooks for my foil surfboards and wing boards.
I also show how I make the mounting system for my boards.
As well as short videos explaining why I use hooks instead of straps or nothing.

A simple and cheap tether to allow anyone to stay upwind while learning to handle the wing.
Only takes a few minutes to setup and remove without needing a new board or additional fins.
I spent hundreds of dollars on 3 piece adjustable paddles, and wasted countless hours paddling, walking, and biking back to my luanch point. I could have just used a tether, which I already had in the garage. I am certain I would have figured out the basics of wing handling on day one if I knew this simple tool to stay upwind.

Looking back on my first handful of sessions, the hope of ripping around the bay on a wing foil seemed pretty far out of my reach. What gave me inspiration was how intuitively and quickly I learned the basics of flying a wing. Then my confidence plummeted as I tried to apply these skills in rough water. I kept going, listening to my gut as to what I needed to try next, on my 9th session I figured out what I needed and had success.
These videos show how to turn a foil, how foil turns differ from surfboards, and how to turn safely. In the first two videos I breakdown the mechanics of turning a foil. Next an animated explanation of how foil gear size effects lean over and the ability to turn. Then I show videos of me crashing on gear that was to advanced for me to turn safely - what not to do. Followed by videos where I show foil turn scenarios and explain what's going on and how to have more success turning a foil.
